How to Add USDC to Your Backpack Wallet on Solana

Option 1: Deposit USDC from an External Wallet or Exchange

  1. Open Backpack Wallet - Launch the Backpack Wallet extension or mobile app and log in.
  2. Navigate to Deposit - Click on the Deposit button located in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
  3. Select USDC and Solana Network - Choose USDC as the asset and ensure the Solana (SPL) network is selected.
  4. Copy Your Wallet Address - Copy the provided wallet address.
  5. Initiate Transfer from External SourceFrom your external wallet or exchange (e.g., Coinbase, Binance):
    • Initiate a Send or Withdraw transaction.
    • Paste your Backpack wallet address.
    • Ensure the network selected is Solana (SPL).
    • Enter the amount of USDC to transfer and confirm the transaction.

  6. Confirm Receipt - Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, your USDC balance will reflect in your Backpack Wallet.

Option 2: Swap SOL for USDC Within Backpack

  1. Ensure Sufficient SOL Balance - Make sure you have enough SOL in your Backpack Wallet to perform the swap and cover transaction fees.
  2. Access the Swap Feature - Navigate to the Spot Trading interface from the Spot menu.
  3. Select Trading Pair - Choose the SOL/USDC trading pair.
  4. Execute the Swap
    • Choose an order type: Market (instant execution) or Limit (set a specific price).
    • Enter the amount of SOL you wish to swap.
    • Confirm the transaction.
  5. Check USDC Balance - After the swap is executed, your USDC balance will be updated in your Backpack Wallet.

Option 3: Deposit USDC via Fiat On-Ramp
